Another award show in Korea and another set of celebrities that need help in fashion. Korea has been in a roll with award and fashion shows lately so I guess some stars would take some ideas of what not to wear to these functions, but still, they don’t get it.

First of all, NO, Andre Kim’s creations are not allowed to be worn ouside-in public-where people can see you-let alone where photographers are present. It’s so said too because God knows how many times this dress was worn repeatitively by different women for his fashion shows. I wonder what she’s getting out of wearing this dress-in public? Lee Ji Sun is the representative of Korea, what the hell is she doing wearing hand-me-downs? WTF, just because it’s a recycled dress.

Kim Hye Soo. Well, let’s see, not exactly the most animal friendly-you have the cow leather parts and then the cheetah prints, yeah, I’m not happy. Not exactly classy and pretty boring. I have always believed that brown is a very tough color to carry let alone put on, but I guess some people just don’t get it. Eww, get a stylist Ms. Kim-after you fire the one who dressed you up with this outfit.

Jo Han Sun. I presume he was on a tight budget so he decided to skimp on his jacket-not a good idea. Jackets accentuates the body line and gives the wearer a classic look, so cutting it short actually will make you look short and tubby-too bad, the jacket would have looked pretty good. Jo Han Sun also should have taken some time to look in the mirror and fix his collar, it only takes that little detail to actually look good. Eww, ’nuff said.

For once someone at this award show made me so proud. Im SungMin in a fushia dress, with the best cuts and minimal but flattering accessories rocks the red carpet. The cute cleavage perfects the dress. An Aww moment.

The female singer of the Korean trio, Typhoon, Solbi,23 has finally decided to show a little of her sex appeal for the mass. In the September 2007 issue of Maxim Solbi graced the cover of the infamous Men’s magazine. I can only imagine she’s trying to generate some attention for some upcoming project. Or maybe the magazine is finally taking from the local pop idol scene to fill its pages and to create revenue?

Whatever the reason this vixen has for posing for Maxim, no one can deny that she is owning the cover. The dress is a lot classier than what is often seen on Maxim covers here in the States and the pose is still pretty conservative, but then again leave much to the imagination–which is good. The dress is simple and the cut lax giving Solbi the extra ounce of sensuality that Maxim demands of its models. The nails, I’m afraid, have to go!

In the latest commercial for Etude House cosmetics Go Ara underestimated how chubby her cheeks and go and went for it. She looks like a chipmunk in this shot or someone who recently got their wisdom tooth removed and is still on the novacaine. Other than that the girl looks old-school cute in her like pink polka-dotted fifties inspired dress. The leading man however, may need A LOT of help. As much as I know its the concept for the commercial, does Jang Geun Suk really have to be so convincing in his shots that it makes me question him?

Anybody agree with me, when I say that these two hotties look really similar? The same high cheekbones, V-shaped face frame, slanted eyes, and neutral lips. I think the could be brothers, if only one wasn’t Japanese and the other Korean. These two “could-be-brothers” are the uber popular member of Kattun, Kamenashi Kazuya and the other is a new face to the business hitting it big time with the drama “Coffee Prince” with Yoon Eun Hye named, Kim Jae Wook. (Not the best pictures, but hey).

The Nike Culture Fashion Show was held on August 28, 2007 and it seems that for this particular show celebrities decided to go bling-bling with their footwear rather that their clothes or jewelry. The classic pair of casuals have been coated with gold and bronze skins to bring a little more glamour to the usual pair that people would wear for a trip to the mall.

Her shoes are definately more worth looking at rather than her outfit. And what’s with the yellow wristband? Jeon Hye Bin, hon, it’s time to find a new stylist.

I don’t know, Kim Hyo Kyung, seems to carry the Nike spirit with her outfit, but the conservatively “ripped” jeans are boring!

Something I ripped out of my personal blog that I made up to bring into light how Asians can look really young for their age.

*BLOG RIP*

Ok, a few weeks ago while waiting among the hoards of collge students murdering one another to register for courses, a friend and I were going around the internet and of course I had to introduce him to the whole Asian entertainment thing. So after a while decided to play a game with him, which by the way, he sucked big time.
The objective of the game is to guess the ages of the celebrities that I show and for every right you get a point. For every mistake I laugh at your stupidity and stomp on the remains of you pride. Fun game huh? Ok I will post ten pictures and you must guess how old each celebrities. NO fair looking up their age and no fair asking friends either (FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIVES PEOPLE LIVE A PURE LIFE FOR FIVE MINUTES). I won’t post up their names either you people suck and would cheat and google them anyways. The answers will be under the cut so look up how much I can put you down…er…I mean how right you are.

I want to post up your scores later okay. One right equals one point. It’s so funny how my friend was getting all freaked out and shit hahaha.

Ready?! Douzo!!!

Well it’s all over the internet, Mnet’s 2007 20’s Choice Awards, which I presume is like the Teen’s Choice Awards in the United States. Better late then never I guess, the award show was meant to be a “summer event”, but I guess they marked their calendars a little late. I personally watched the part where TVXQ presented the ward for Best New Star and just to be honest it was as interesting as reading a Chemistry book. The girls in bikinis, what were their use and why hug the stars? To generate some heat? I laughed at their pitiful attempts at some sex appeal because the male stars didn’t even look the slightest bit interested at all!
I guess in Korea the twenty-something year-old fans aren’t as excited as over-dosed hormonal preteens. TVXQ walked on stage and the “fans” barely made a sound, the walk-in music was bland, the presentation was boring and the hand-over of the award barely generated any suspense. Basically, TVXQ went on stage presented the award and then they went their seperate ways.
The award show as boring, but I do have to admit I like how they decided to go with heavy-weight belts over the traditional trophies and instead of a red carpet they went with blue, although I always thought that Mnet was pink.
If I was to comment more on the event itself I might just decide to blow up my laptop into oblivion so I’ll just stop here. The stars that attended the event were pretty…interesting. There wasn’t really a common theme, although all SM talent that attended were all donned in white or black and white motifs (like Super Junior). Some tried to bring so class, others got too happy with the lace, and some barely cared.

It is beyond a doubt that Hyung Young has a slammin’ body, but you also have to admit she has very limited variation when it comes to her dresses. Always the usual short skirt with clinched waist or halter top. I guess she’s really trying to show her assets (her ridiculously long legs), but come on; with all the cash she’s probably hauling in from all her hosting gigs you’d think she’d consider a little more styles and cuts to her wardrobe. She’s always with that halter cut with the iddy-biddy waist, I guess to create the illusion that she has a bust (which she should have thrown in with the rest of her plastic surgery extravaganza) and emphasis on the her waist?

MBC is creating a buzz with it’s new drama, 깍두기,staring the cute Park Shin Hye and the internet is abuzz with the surprising new haircut from the lead actress, some reports have even come down to comparing her to Yoon Eun Hye; but Park states that she believes Yoon is more capable of pulling off the look . Well that said, the cast of the drama recently held their press confrence for the media, while those reporters release the same report over and over again with “different styles”; I’m here to comment on what they wore.

From the left is Kim Hong Soo and his gut, I apologize if I offeneded his fans but look at his suit, it looks like its about to burst at the seams. I feel that his jacket is a little too small for him, may be in denial about the gut? The fibric used for the suit could also use an overhaul, it looks hot, uncomfortabl, and synthetic.

Next to Kim Hong Soo is the lead actress Park Shin Hye I actually like her outfit except the belt kind of takes away from the classiness of the whole ensamble`, may be if she got a belt with a little less gloss; subtle but chic. Her heels aren’t helping her either, they look like the type the ancient Romans would wear or S&M sandal, which ever you prefer. Brown sandals do not go with a black outfit.

And to the left is the petite Lee Min Jung with her blanket of a blouse. The blouse overcomes her figure and flattens her out, the jeans should have been worn with higher heels to create the illusion of length, which by the way, she really needs. She’s pretty nontheless.

Last, but not the least is the actor Joo Sang Wook with his Italian influenced suit. I presonally feel that the “V” of the jacket is too low for a man of his stature and that the side detail doesn’t seem too appealing. His pants are too long and the little handkerchief in his jacket pocket could have used a little flair of some sort.

My two cents on what they were wearing.

The famous American casual wear namebrand, Diesel, recently paraded their latest at a fashion show held in Korea. From the looks of the celebrities that attended, the theme of the evening seems to have been jeans or the casual look. Here are a few that either dolled-up or who did not care at the show.

Someone tell Choi Yuh Jin that what she’s wearing is ugly. Damn, Choi is a model yet she can’t even dress herself either that or her stylist was having a bad day. Look at her, she’s wearing a guy’s shirt trimmed at the waist, capris, and (here’s the clincher…) red stilettos. Who wears red shoes with a jean outfit? And moreover her “deminim” attire looks like a cheap imitation, the color is so faded, think one of those cotton button ups that look like jeans. Her clutch looks like a manicure kit or a gun case or even a brick. The shades aren’t helping either, they look like she got them from a thift shop. Totally EWW.

Cho So Young looks decent enough I guess. Her dress looks like a cross between a Micronesian dress and a Finland one (think Ricola, the candy). Honestly, I hate the details on the chest part of the dress, its annoying and doesn’t play out anything. It’s also really distracting, it looks like a stain I want to wash it off the dress. Her cluch clashes with the rest of the outfit, I seriously think its made out of buttons. I really think that she should have worn high heels for this dress, the ballerian pumps make her look small and insignificant. She’s also not carrying the dress, would it hurt to actually look like she likes the dress? Another EWW. (damn, that’s two straight, next!)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Boring isn’t it. I mean its okay enough. Gong Hyn Joo went for the casual minimalist look with the universal black and peek-a-boo heels. But honestly as a celebrity she might just go unnoticed with this number. I mean I am all for casual comfortable, but still a little spice wouldn’t hurt. Too boring for a rating, not even EWW cuts it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Ji Hyun Woo looks casual borderline insipid bordeline homosexual. The hair could use a revamping, the shades are a no-no, the jacket is my major problem. The jacket looks like a cross between a wind-breaker and imitation leather, it’s killing me! I think he should have rather gone with the pants, shirt, dog tags, and maybe a tuxedo jacket instead–the rocker-urban look maybe? Now I see it, the pose makes him look gay, its just so upright and rigid. Beyond EWW (maybe I should make up more categories, right?)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Does anybody else see Kim Min Joon’s resemblence to a Japanese Imperial Troop? This is a gutsy getup if you know your history. The jacket even comes with accessorizing Japanese characters. The square hat and dirty converse are also adding to the historic outfit. All in all I don’t like this outfit also because he looks so stuffy and stocky. WTF outfit for me (read your history).

EWW. Take off the vest; it’s just sitting there and it looks too feminine for Oh Ji Ho’s physique.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
There are celebrities that go to events forgetting not to be drugged, not dressed properly, but apparently Park Shi Yeon forgot to comb her hair. Her bag is brown, her ring is jade, her pants are grey with a YELLOW top! Her outfit is poor, I mean, seriously yellow? The summer is almost over and Diesel is not one to have bright yellow for its line. Somebody needs a stylist and a brush. EWW.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Just like Oh Ji Ho, Yoo In Young needs to kill the vest, her outfit looks hot without it. The vest just hangs there and makes her look even more flat chested. What is it with these celebrities and white vests? They’re ugly, lose them. EWW.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Wow now this is the winner—EWW of the month. Yoon Ji Hye shopped at the same thrift shop as Choi Yuh Ji. The classic guy shirt is not meant for women, somebody get this through their heads! So why take it, belt them and then bother calling it an outfit? Its not flattering at all. It looks like she’s ready for sex anytime, just rip the belt off! Yoon Ji Hye go shopping, of the thousands of shops in Korea this is all you could come up with? WTF to the power of one hundred.

Not one AWW outfit, how depressing! Hopefully celebrities will take a hint and consider a little classier clothes or research a little of the brand’s show they’ll be attending and maybe arrive with a getup from that brand. I don’t know, just a little suggestion.

Guess what! This egotistical idol is in Davao, Philippines some speculate he’s visiting the country for a vacation since he was last seen in a casino somewhere or maybe just a little getaway trip before he lands in Hong Kong soon.

Yeah not to big of a fan, his face annoys me to death and his ego just compounds that, but you gotta love how easily he can have a life of his own without his fans going after his wife unlike other idols that practically live for their fans. Oh well I guess to each his own. Hope he finds the Philippines pleasant enough and maybe even lay something for foreign interest in Philippine entertainment.
